Phillip, his daughter Penny, his older brother Brian, and his two best friends Bobby and Nick are all trying to survive this zombie apocalypse. I cannot begin to feel what all these people are going through; the agony of having to go on this journey with your closest family and friends and knowing that you could lose them at any moment. They drove from Waynesboro, Georgia and found a large house in an upper class neighborhood in Atlanta Georgia where the refugee center is located. So they end up deciding to stay at this house in hope of protection and security. Through out the rest of these chapters I hope that they stay safe and get out alive.The survivors are trying to protect them selves by getting food and building barricades. This is probably one of the smartest things they could be doing right about now so that they can stay protected and have supplies to keep them from not starving.

Weekly Blog #3 (The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor)
The group ends up leaving the night after and take weapons and supplies with them. They are going to need weapons and supplies if they plan on surviving throughout there journey. They eventually have to continue their journey on foot, because of the cars that are in the way on the road. This is a brave decision, but probably the only thing that they could do. They end up finding a new car while being harassed by zombies on the way. They use the car to drive into Atlanta and they see the city has been ruined. If had done the same thing and drove into Austin and saw what they saw I don’t know how I would live with myself. Part 1 of the books ends with the group drive near the capital building and seeing a thousands of zombies walking toward them. In this situation there are too many zombies to kill so they must run.
Weekly Blog #2 (The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor)
The next day, Bobby is resting and out of no where a zombie child bites and he turns instantly after dying, forcing Phillip to kill him. I cannot start to believe what Phillip is going through. Having to kill your friend that has just been bitten by a zombie. In that moment I would have no idea what to do. Whether to kill Bobby or not, but I guess he has no other choice but to kill him. As the zombies are clawing at the barricades the group goes and buries Bobby’s body.
